Our innovative curriculum is designed for the adult learner and utilizes distance education technology for all theory courses, an on-site ultrasound lab for small-team hands on training, and clinical extern affiliate sites to provide a well-rounded real-world learning experience.
We believe that students should engage in the clinical experience early and develop their skills in parallel with relative course work in theory and lab. On clinic, students gain confidence and achieve their scanning competencies through a process that:
encompasses gradual progressions over a 1 year period beginning with 1 -2 days per week when their skills are novice and progressing to 4 days per week when they are nearing entry level competence
integrates with their in-school components (theory and lab) so Students gain real world insight as they progress through the program
includes, at a minimum, 1,000 hours of clinical experience
